Technical and project support work is targeted towards various aspects and components of programming and implementation that are undertaken to help prepare for, manage and deliver the humanitarian response and DRR interventions. These involve engaging in different elements of humanitarian and DRR programming and have commonly involved capacity mapping exercises, organisational disaster preparedness processes and contingency planning, strategic planning in DRM, development of program implementation tools (contextual IEC material, learning kits, manuals) and, mainstreaming DRR actions (within programmes of actors, in government policy and schemes, and strategies). RedR India has also provided Technical Support on implementation and monitoring of sector specific interventions (pre-dominantly WASH and Shelter) in post disaster settings for response, recovery and onward linkage with disaster risk reduction.
