Being a network of experts from various technical backgrounds, who share a passion for and possess extensive experience in designing trainings, RedR India emerges as a knowledge hub that is enabled to carry out Capacity Building in numerous sectors like Shelter, Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WaSH), Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), Logistics and overall Humanitarian Practice.
Humanitarian Practice: These training courses deal with the foundational aspects of humanitarian work and are aimed at creating a base for practitioners entering the sector or for those wanting to gain some theoretical clarity and reflect upon their practice. These courses may consist of multiple topics ranging from the philosophy and values of humanitarian practice, the humanitarian space at large and its changing trends. RedR India has designed and delivered many such training programs for different I-NGOS, UN organizations, NGOs and Corporate organizations looking to work in the sector. Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WaSH): Insufficient human-resource capacity related to water, sanitation, and hygiene (WaSH) remains one of the most significant barriers to providing effective and sustainable services during any humanitarian response. Organizations working on the field often lack the necessary technical human-resource capacity to effectively implement and sustainably manage WASH interventions. To help address these capacity needs, RedR India customizes training programs that specially deal with WaSH as a thematic with focus on both technical as well as non-technical aspects, based on the specific needs of the organization. Disaster Risk Reduction: Since the ability of communities and their environment to withstand the impacts of hazards play a direct role in determining the loss to life and assets in the occurrence of any disaster, it is important to reduce the vulnerabilities within the environments and enhance the capacity for reducing the risks that disasters pose.
