RedR India’s projects portfolio provides a wide range of technical, advisory and project support services to a diverse group of humanitarian agencies, in an attempt to improve the overall effectiveness of emergency response and risk reduction work.
By engaging its extensive roster of members, RedR carries out projects mainly in India, the South Asian region and sporadically in other geographies. These projects include conducting learning needs assessments, contextual/bespoke training courses, development of course manuals/guidelines, technical support on designing and implementing disaster risk reduction programs, evaluations, needs assessment, strategy formulation, emergency systems development, contingency planning, program designing etc. RedR personnel also provide policy and operational support to humanitarian and disaster risk reduction programmes.
Through our projects we work with a vast range of humanitarian actors; from District Administrations, local NGOs, Government Departments International NGOs, CSR agencies and networks like Inter Agency Groups (Coordination bodies) in states. RedR aims at learning with these actors and ultimately contributing back to the humanitarian community through our learning and knowledge products. RedR India proactively seeks opportunities with new partners and newer frontiers to expand our own experiences, knowledge and learning that feeds back into our capacity building portfolio and ultimately bring us closer to fulfilling our mandate.
